Tsunami warnings which followed  a 7.8 magnitude-earthquake that  struck around 70 kilometres south-west of the Solomon Islands, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said,  have now been lifted  ABC

 

 

 

A leaked report into the country’s electricity market says Australia is not on track to meet the Paris climate change commitments and that investment in the sector has stalled because there is no long-term Government policy to reduce carbon emissions. ABC

 

 

Kristina Photios, the wife of NSW Liberal Party powerbroker Michael Photios, has quit the party to speak out against a “vocal minority” of conservatives she says are preventing any progress on climate policy by the Turnbull government.SMH
