Home lending eases

by Alan Thornhill

Lending for owner-occupied housing fell by 3.1 per cent in July, on seasonally adjusted figures that the bureau of statistics published today.

It said Australians borrowed $19,946 million to finance those purchases.

It said, too, that there had been a total of 55, 010 home loan commitments that month, on seasonally adjusted figures.

That was 4.2 per cent below the comparable figure for June.

  • Not that I could see, Ian. I’ll have another look. Will also contact you soon on that other matter. Pet keen to show off her lemon slices. Alan
